Sometimes she really hated having to be in charge of such a vast expanse of acreage, it was a hassle. She had to go into town to do grocery shopping still, and to take the Professor the start Pokemon she raised for the trainers who wanted to start out with a starter Pokemon from Pallet. Though the ranch was relatively near Pallet, it was located on the outside of the actual town limits, since the town was so dinky this really wasn't a surprise in and of itself. Still, the ranch was affiliated with Pallet Town, and she was considered a townsfolk technically. Which wasn't the problem. "C'mon Espeon, get in."

[/color] She said to her number one partner, a female Espeon. The purple Pokemon responded and hopped into the budgie Kagura was hooking up to her Rapidash. She normally would just ride the fire horse into town, but since they had luggage and should stalk up on supplies such as hay and other feed for the Pokemon, she needed to bring the cart. Nothing like a good old horse-and-budgie to spell out Pallet Town. "Ready girl?"[/color] She asked her Rapidash, patting her shoulder. The horse snorted and neighed in response, and Kagura smiled. "Ah, good, good. How 'bout you Espeon?"[/color] She added, hopping into the driver's seat of the cart next to Espeon.

"Esp!" Barked the Pokemon, and Kagura chuckled at the enthusiasm. It was helpful that her Pokemon were so upbeat and with her all the time. She gently ushered Rapidash into a steady trot, and they were off to Pallet Town. She wondered briefly if Abby or Kaya might be there, resting up before heading out again. Or even Zakuro, taking a breather from a business trip. It was rare that she saw her sisters anymore, and she missed them. Kagura would never admit it, but it got lonely on the ranch by herself. Sure there were rival ranchers around, but they weren't exactly positive company. She missed her sisters, she missed her family. Sure she had her Pokemon, and they were family. But still...she missed those three dearly.

It felt like forever to reach Pallet Town's city limits, but she was realized when she did. First things first: drop off the starter Pokemon to the Professor. She guided Rapidash in the proper direction, a route she knew by heart, and slowed when they reached the lab. "Wait here with Rapidash, Espeon."[/color] She said, no hint of a demanding tone in her voice though it was communicated as such. She gave Rapidas a pat and words of praise before grabbing the sack with the Pokeballs that contained the starters and heading into the lab. Once she gave them one of the Professor's assistants -- who she recognized -- she returned to her Pokemon and guided them over to the fresh market nearby. This time, Kagura released Ninetales to guard the cart and Rapidash, and took Espeon with her into the market.

"Let's find some good stuff, 'kay Espeon?"[/color] She said, looking around at all the fresh garden vegetables and other treats. Kagura made a note to get a closer look at that all natural honey, heading over to the first destination: the place that sold the feed for the ranch Pokemon. She bought as much as she could carry, but even so Espeon had to help her out with psychic. Two large bags of feed -- on held by her hand and the other tucked under her arm -- on side and two stacks of hay on the other, she waddled back to where the cart was. Trying to hurry so she could get back to shopping. Using psychic, Espeon was floating more bags and stacks of hay. Her balance was off, understandably so, she was very careful not to walk into anyone. But she was going against the flow of traffic, and it seemed like traffic was only getting thicker.... She just hoped she'd make it to cart without being run over by the steady flow of people.
