In this way, he grew up in the streets of Saffron and raised himself while obtaining the street smarts from experience. Too be truthful, he was pretty arrogant and thought he was the best, especially when he was about thirteen years old. He though he knew it all. However, after being a grunt in the Chimera market and with an arrogant attitude, he quickly crossed the wrong people. He was messed up bad by the time they were through teaching him a lesson, but through this, the leader of Chimera at the time took him under his wing. Through this, Axel was raised the rest of the time to become the next leader and he took that position well when it came time. He was always taught that the leader of Chimera is the one that works in the shadows. In this way, Chimera has been long standing as the leader amongst dealers because the competition hasn't been able to get rid of them. No one ever knows when the leadership changes or who is in charge, just that things get done and business continues as normal. The rangers have long been after Chimera in trying to stop their deals in the underground with pokemon and other items. Axel was the one to start the dealings with Team Rocket. He did this only to get additional clients and because Team Rocket knew that Chimera is one of the largest dealers to get the stuff that one needs. He doesn't support their missions or their agenda, he's just in it for the business. To Team Rocket, he is just one of the dealers they work with and they don't know just how important he is. Axel prefers it that way. Axel used to travel a lot before he took leadership of Chimera. He would always try to seek out the strange and different pokemon and items of different regions to take back with him in hopes of selling them. In this way he found Spiritomb. However, his most prized finding is the shiny Duskull that he caught and raised into a Dusclops. Due to odd colors being so rare on pokemon, he kept it for himself. Arbok and Banette are his top pokemon that he uses. Banette he tends to use for intimidation at times. He's just really close with his Arbok though he would never admit that he's really friends with a pokemon because that sounds weak. Many times his Arbok is out of its poke ball and next to his side. His nickname, Axe, isn't really derived from any pokemon or particular habit of his but just because it's part of his name. He uses the nickname mostly in his business to hide his name identity.
